A Divergent Routine Path

Riven down the green:
leaning forward to a way open,
diverged into the wider
spaces—quiet, wild,  alive.

Multi-use path along Lakeview Hall and Newman Lake
The Bluestone Trail has become divergent, routine route for getting into town while enjoying more of the quiet and wild green space in town.  I enjoy pedaling along Rt. 280 (Stone Spring Road from Reservoir—all with bike lanes) before turning right onto the trail at Beery Rd. Here Bluestone Trail crosses Blacks Run twice on the border of Pleasant Run Townhouses, through Purcell Park, along Butler St. and then by way of its dedicated path through a large student parking lot to Port Republic Rd (Map). From there it moves into JMU campus where I typically take a left along Lakeview Hall. This path leads along Greek Row to Bluestone Drive where you have some choices as what direction you wish to follow.
